The patented Silent Hitch Pin™ is a novel, anti-vibration device that takes all movement out of the connection between the vehicle's towing system and what's being towed.
The Silent Hitch Pin™ utilizes a spring-backed nut that is inserted inside the receiver hitch accessory device (i.e., a ball mount, cargo carrier) and is aligned with the hitch's pin hole. The hitch accessory is then inserted into the receiver hitch, and when the threaded Silent Hitch Pin™ engages the spring nut, the hitch accessory is squeezed against the receiver hitch wall.

Installing the Silent Hitch Pins in my tow bar was the best thing I could have done to eliminate the movement and resulting excessive wear in the tow bar/receiver connection. I use a Blue Ox Aladdin aluminum tow bar. The holes in the hitch connector were elongating very rapidly. I installed the Silent Hitch Pins two years ago and the wear has stopped. I wouldn't be without them.
